Mary Elizabeth McMillian Rankins
Mary M. Rankins was born Mary Elizabeth McMillian to Allie Quates McMillian and Issac McMillian, Sr., on June 16, 1947, in Conecuh County, Alabama. She answered the call to be with her Master quietly on November 9, 2022, while in Mobile Infirmary Hospital. Mary was surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy H. Robbins and Allie L. McQueen; one brother, Isaac McMillian, Jr.; one stepson, James Rankins; four nephews, Luvert McMillian, Rochelle McMillian, Gavin McMillian and Henry Scott; and two nieces, Betty J. Scott and Jean A. Williams.
Mary Leaves cherished memories for: devoted husband, Emanuel “Mack” Rankins, Sr., of Evergreen, AL; three children, Andra’e McMillian of Evergreen, AL, Emanuel Rankins, Jr., of Montgomery, AL, and Lameka "Monique” Rankins of Evergreen, AL; four stepchildren, Stephanie Rankins, Voncile Rankins, and Rochelle Rankins, all of Jersey City, NJ, and Tony (Philana) Crook of Repton, AL; ten grandchildren, Crystal Meeks, Emanuel D. Rankins, Sequoya Stallworth, Dontavious Finklea, Emoni Finklea, Andra’e D. McMillian, Ivy Grace McMillian, Damien Rankins, Desmond Johnson, and Cornellious Meeks; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Cayden Meeks, Jaxon Meeks, and Jace Meeks; three brothers, Robert (the late Betty) McMillian, Roshell (Shirley) McMillian, and Loomas McMillian, all of Evergreen, AL; six goddchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Linda McMillian; four brothers-in-law, Willie “Bill” Rankins, Elliott Rankins, Lewis Rankins, and David Rankins; an adored boss and friend, Bert (Susan) Cook of CMC in Evergreen, AL; and a host of other loved relatives, co-workers, and friends.
We would like to thank our family and friends for everything you’ve done in the midst of our grief. Although our hearts are broken, we recognize your kindness, love, and support in these days.
