Mr. Cortez A. Dees
Cortez Antonio (Tony) Dees was born to Sheila Dees and William Peters on May 10, 1990 in Brewton, Alabama. He joined the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Evergreen, Alabama (Nymph) at an early age. During his teenage years, he served as the Sunday School Secretary, and recently as an Usher.
He was educated in the Conecuh County School System. He also worked numerous years on Express Oil Ridge in Louisiana.
Tony departed this life on June 2, 2018 (1 day before his oldest son’s birthday).
Cortez (Tony) leaves to cherish his memories a loving devoted mother, Sheila (Billy) Lyons, Evergreen, AL; father, William Peters, Jacksonville, FL; his adopted parents, Charles and Nancy Richardson, Evergreen, AL; eight children: Cortavious, Harmoni, Caelyn, Tailyn, Chenelle, Antonio Dees, Keston Tolliver, and London Rogers (Dees); three brothers: Marquis Watkins, Mobile, AL, Anthony (Tabitha) Richardson, Sr., Evergreen, AL, Christin Howard, Jackson, MS; four sisters: Shanita Andrews, Evergreen, AL, Cynthia (Michael) Williams, Phenix City, AL, Veronica (Ronald) Stallworth, Moundville, AL, Nefeteria (Olembee) Wickham, Toronto, Canada; his grandparents: Mrs. Ella Moody, Panama City, FL, Mrs. Annie Peters, Belleville, AL, Mrs. Bessie Richardson, Century, FL, Mr. Shelley Howard, Brewton, AL, Mr. & Mrs. Joe L. Thomas, Century, FL; uncles: William (Shelly) Moody, Panama City, FL, Joseph Moody, Atlanta, GA; a large number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends; a Godmother, Evelyn (Jones) Carlise, TX; a special devoted friend, Priscilla Jones, Evergreen, AL; and two devoted cousins: Anthony McClain and Daryl Rogers, Jr. (DJ).
The family of the late CORTEZ ANTONIO (TONY) DEES is grateful for every expression of love and concern that each of you extended during our time of bereavement. Your prayers, visits, telephone calls, cards, food, and flowers have been very comforting and appreciated.
