Mr. David Wright Jr.
Our beloved David A. Wright Jr. was born on November 21, 1972 in Pensacola, FL to the parentage of David Sr. and Rebecca Wright. He departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 doing something he loved. As a child David was raised in the Owassa Community of Evergreen, AL where he attended Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church. David was a 1990 graduate of Hillcrest High School and shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy where he has since served 20 years.
Brother David leaves to mourn his parents, David Sr. and Rebecca Wright of Evergreen, AL; two sisters, Ruby (Andre Quarrels) Wright of Phoenix City, AL and Daisy (Eugene) Grace of Ft. Knox, KY; five children, Elijah Squaire of Suffolk, VA, De’vonte Wright of Houston, TX, Asheona Wright of Belleville, IL and David Wright III Christian Burrell, both of Jacksonville, FL; four loving nieces, Kristina, Samantha, Kayla and Aaliyah; two nephews, Sammy Jr. and Eugene Jr. and one great nephew, Jaiden. He is also survived by his grandmother, Ruby Brown of Marion, IL and his grandfather, Willie (Gail) Hawthorne of Evergreen, AL. Through his life David was blessed to see many parts of the world and he was blessed to have so many aunts, uncles, friends and other family that there are too many to mention, but there are a few close friends that we would like to acknowledge: Alfred Gainey, Chester Reese, Cleavon Davis, Cojuan Goins and Lamonte Brink of Virginia, Willie Merrills of Evergreen, AL, Kendell Riley of Memphis, TN, Douglas Lane of Mansfield, OH and Patrick Cook of Georgia. David was also a member of the Dirty Ryderz Motorcycle Club (Virginia Chapter). And last but certainly not least he leaves to grieve a special, loving friend, Felice Anderson of Norfolk, VA. His body was taken from us, but his spirit will continue to live through us all.
To all of the friends, family and members of the United States Navy we thank you for all you have done to make this time of bereavement a smooth transition. Thank you for all of your hard work and sacrifices during our time of need.
