Mr. George McCall II
Mr. George (Earnest Lee) McCall was born March 10, 1930 in Lowndes County, to the late George McCall Sr. and Celia Grant McCall. He departed this life on Monday, October 1, 2018.
He joined Belleville Faulk AME Zion Church when he moved to Evergreen, Alabama. He was a dedicated member for many years. He worked as a private Construction Contractor building and renovating numerous structures in Evergreen and surrounding counties.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Robinson McCall; his son, Earnest Lee McCall; his parents, George McCall Sr. and Celia Grant McCall; his brother, John McCall; his sister, Ceola Means and his in-laws, Alex and Leola Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memories two devoted sons, Leon (Wanda) McCall of Rex, GA and George C. Jacobs of Evergreen, AL; a daughter, Shirley (Napoleon) Smith of Houston, TX; a daughter-in-law, Alfreda Abner McCall of Elgin, IL; grandchildren, Steven McCall of Elgin, IL, Brandon McCall and Alexa McCall, both of Rex, GA and Keven (Rachel) McCall McDonough, GA, and Franetta, Zachary and Michael Smith, all of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Nasir, Shanelle, and Shania; five brothers, Joe (Melissa) McCall of Montgomery, AL, Robert McCall of Letohatchee, AL, Larue McCall of New Jersey, Emanuel McCall and Tom McCall, both of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Leola Corbett and Polly Lamin, both of Boston, MA; a sister-in-law, Alma McCall of Sanford, FL; special friends, James Davis of Akron, OH, Wiley Grace of Belleville, AL, Alonzo McCall and Nathaniel McCray, all of Hayneville, AL; a special niece, Loretta Smith of Hayneville, AL and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We, the family of GEORGE MCCALL II, are deeply grateful for each expression of love and concern extended to us during this period of transition. We have been comforted by your prayers, visits, telephone calls, cards and other thoughtful gestures. Your thoughtfulness will be cherished by our family and it is our sincere prayer that God’s blessings will continue to be with each of you.
