Mr. Herod Johnson, Jr.
Mr. Herod Johnson Jr. was born July 20, 1923 in Conecuh County Alabama to the late Herod Johnson Sr. and Amanda Herbert Johnson. His wife, Barbara Smith Johnson preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is one son, Charles C. Johnson; five siblings, three sisters, Ellen Johnson Hamilton, Naomi Johnson Andrews and Lula Johnson Ware and two brothers, Alsterks Johnson and Joseph Johnson.
He gave his life to being a devout Christian, husband, father and brother. He is well known throughout the brotherhood of the Church of Christ. He served as an Elder, Sunday School Teacher and song leader among other duties in the church.
He is survived by two sons, James (Vivian) Johnson of Evergreen, AL and Robert (Patricia) Wipf of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Charlotte Jones of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grands; two great-great grands; one special niece, Barbara (Lynn) McAlister of Rancho Pales Verde, CA and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
