Mr. James L. Fountain, Jr.
James LeRue Fountain Jr. was born on May 8, 1973 to Rosie Lee and James LeRue Fountain Sr. in Brewton, Alabama. James made his earthly transition on Saturday, December 29, 2018.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Second St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. “Fruna”, as he was affectionately known, attended the City of Brewton School System and graduated from T.R. Miller High School.
After high school he moved to Eufaula, Alabama where he had gainful employment with American Buildings. After two years he decided to return to his roots in Brewton, Alabama. Upon his return to Brewton Fruna began using his passion and skillful talent as a barber…of which, he was good!
Left to cherish his memories two beautiful daughters, Nakiya (Caleb) Weddle and AliJah Fountain, both of Brewton, Alabama; an adorable granddaughter, Kyla Faith Weddle of Brewton, Alabama; mother, Rosie Lee Dexter of Brewton, Alabama; one sister, Ruby Dale (Darricon) Salter of Brewton, Alabama; two brothers, David Lee Fountain of Brewton, Alabama and Michael LeRue “Mikie” Fountain of LaGrange, Georgia; a special friend, Bonnie Reed Smith of Brewton, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
James LeRue Fountain Jr. was preceded in death by his father, James LeRue Fountain Sr. and step-father, Jessie Lee Dexter. He was loved and will be missed by many.
We, the family of James LeRue “Fruna” Fountain Jr., would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the outpour of love and support shown to us during this time of bereavement. We thank God for placing each of you in our lives. We ask for God’s continued blessings to each of you.
