Mr. Rodney W. Pleasant
Brother Rodney Warren “Dirty Red” Pleasant was born on June 15, 1959 to the late Mrs. Annie Pearl Pleasant Oliver in Conecuh County Alabama. He received his education in the Conecuh County School System and graduated with the Class of 1977. Rodney truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; joking with friends and family, laughing and helping others. Rodney had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Pearl Oliver; his brother, Anthony Wayne Pleasant and his step-father, Eugene Oliver.
Rodney departed this life on July 26, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Marilyn McMillan Pleasant; three daughters, Ebony S. McMillian of Huntsville, AL, Chmisia Tolliver and Diamond Baker, both of Evergreen, AL; one step-son, Keith McMillian of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Ke’Ariah, Ke’Aris, Kayla, Kylah, Keston and Andrew; three brothers, one devoted, Gregory Pleasant of Evergreen, AL and Larry (Doretha) Wilson of Mobile, AL and Donald (Cary) Wilson of Virginia; two sisters, Gretta King of Dothan, AL and Mable Wilson of Andalusia, AL; five brothers-in-law, John (Beatrice) McMillian, Frank (Gail) McMillian, both of Detroit, MI, Ellis (Barbara) McMillian of Clanton, AL, Andrew McMillian and Sandy McMillian of Evergreen, AL; two sisters-in-law, Mildred McMillian of Evergreen, AL and Etha Oliver of Detroit, MI; five aunts, one devoted, Emma P. Grooms of Omaha, NB and Ruby Pleasant, Jacqueline (Eother Jr.) Holder, Patricia Hutchinson, all of Evergreen, AL and Lillian Wheeler of Youngstown, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews (one devoted nephew, Zachariah Rogers), and friends, three devoted, Arnold Ballard, Claudia Ray “Bo Pete” Henry and Tony Roberts.
May the God of all comfort embrace you with peace and hope now and in the days to come when as Revelation 21:4 promises, even death will be no more.
