Mr. Warren G. Pleasant
Mr. Warren G. Pleasant was born on December 30, 1930 in Conecuh County Alabama to the late Mr. Wilbert and Mrs. Hester Pleasant. He was the fifth out of ten siblings born to the Pleasants. His brothers, James Davis, Robert Lee, Wilbert Pleasant, Jr., and sisters, Pearl, Mary Ann, Lillie, Earnestine and Thelma, all, preceded him in death.
He departed this life May 28, 2014 at the Evergreen Medical Center. This brave “Taxi Driver” made his transition from time into eternity surrounded by his family.
He united with the St. John Baptist Church at an early age and later joined the Mt. Zion AME Zion Church with his loving wife, Mrs. Forrestine Benson Pleasant. He enjoyed life and was the greatest of drivers which included, personally, his taxi cab, and the school bus he drove while protecting our children. His love for all children was extended beyond Evergreen and they called him “Uncle Boe”! He will be dearly missed by his family and friends!
He leave to cherish his memory: two devoted and dedicated nieces, Maranda McCreary and Jackie R. Lee; one sister, Mrs. Emma Grooms of Nebraska; godson, Albert Drakeford, Jr.; in-laws, Earnestine Benson, Margarite Williams, Willie Boykin, Geraldine Rodgers, Julia Murphy, George Rodgers, Roy Rodgers, James Rodgers, Ruby Pleasant, Charles Taliferro, and Clara Davis. He also leaves a dear friend and son, Freddie Evans; a dear friend and daughter, Belinda Jones; always there, Greg Pleasant, nephew; and Marilyn Roach, niece; special friends, Thurman Lusane, Earnest Knight, Bobby Booker, William Mayfield, and George Rogers and a host of other nieces and nephews, other relatives, classmates and friends.
The family will always remember and cherish the kindness of your expressions of sympathy, your prayers, flowers, and timely courtesies so graciously extended during the illness and passing of our loved one. May God bless each of you is our prayer!
