Mrs. Paula D. Jackson
Paula Denise Lane, the first born of Amy D. Lane and Herbert Larry Lane, was born on July 27, 1966 in Brewton, Alabama. At a young age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized joining Prayer House; currently known as Christ Kingdom Ministries. Later in life she moved her membership to Pathway of Life.
Paula was educated in the Brewton City School System and graduated with the T.R. Miller Class of 1984. After high school she furthered her education with Atlanta Tech Institute. She also attended Cosmetology School in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and obtained her Cosmetology Degree and Manager’s License. She met and married Darryl Jackson and to this union a son, Darryus Jakori Jackson, was born.
For a while Paula worked at Gayfers in Ft. Walton Beach, FL until returning back to Brewton, AL where she went into entrepreneurship, starting Paula’s Beauty Salon. While operating the salon she also worked as a Teller at First National Bank and other various jobs. At the time of her passing she still held a sturdy flow of clients.
In her spare time she had pure joy in spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and great nieces, and fellowshipping with church members, family and friends.
On July 21, 2020 Paula’s earthly life came to an ended and slipped into eternity to dwell with her Lord. She was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Dewayne Lane.
Paula leaves cherished memories with her son, Darryus Jakori Jackson of Brewton, AL; her mother, Amy D. Lane of Brewton, AL; father, Herbert Larry (Sheila) Lane of Soso, MS; four grandchildren, Londynn Jackson, Nori McConnico, Aubree Jackson and Phoenix Jackson, all of Brewton, AL; sister, Freda Lorraine Lane of Brewton, brother, Mario Fitzgerald Lane of Brewton, AL; brother, Michael Pandelton Lane of North Carolina; Chelsie Lane of Atmore, AL, Lashara Powell, Angel Rogers and Anjanae Lane, all of Brewton, AL; nieces and nephews, Amy K.
