A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who has gone on to be with the Lord . . . Brenda Lee Claiborne was born on May 21, 1965 to Georgia Mae Stallworth and Earnest Roy Baker in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Prayer House Church in Brewton, AL and later moved her membership to By Faith Ministry in Evergreen, AL. She was a devoted member of the praise team, choir and a deaconess. She loved telling others about the Lord and was always there when anyone needed words of encouragement.
On December 18, 1987 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Jonas Claiborne and they were blessed with four beautiful children.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a devoted husband of 26 years, Jonas Claiborne; four children, Lanessa, Eric, Ericka and Jonas T., all of Evergreen, AL; five beautiful grandchildren, Aaliyah Hall, Tyler Hall, Cameron Hall, De’Niyah Baker and Amani Watts; a loving and caring mother, Georgia Mae Baker of Evergreen, AL; a loving father, Earnest Roy Baker of Sumter, SC; a loving grandmother, Mamie V. Stallworth; two sisters, Lavern Baker of Frisco City, AL and Gwendolyn Baker of Evergreen, AL; three brothers, Earnest Jr. (Sandra) of Garland, AL, Freddie Baker of Albany, GA and Christopher Hicks (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC; one sister-in-law, Shirley H. Murphy; two brothers-in-law, Wilbur Claiborne of Evergreen, AL and Jesse Claiborne of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
