Ms. Carolyn A. Ingram
Carolyn was born on July 30, 1954 in Conecuh County to the late Gillie and Nelson Rogers. On the morning of Friday, October 6, 2017 she answered to the sound of the trumpet and made her transition to her final resting place.
Carolyn loved the Lord with all her heart. Under the leadership of Rev. C.F. Sheppard, she accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age. She was a lifelong member in faith and fellowship at Jerusalem No. II Baptist Church where she worked diligently in her faith serving multiple roles, but was currently active as an Usher. Carolyn had the opportunity to gather and worship with her church family on Wednesday night under the leadership of her current pastor Rev. Robert Straughn. She participated in phone bible study ministry on the Thursday night prior to her transition. Even at the time of her abrupt departure she called on the almighty name of Jesus and then transitioned to her final resting place.
Carolyn was formerly married to Mr. Arthur Ingram, Jr. and out of this union three children were born: Arthur Ingram, III, Cheri Denise Ingram Bradley, and Jason Terrell Ingram.
She was educated in the Conecuh School System where she was a graduate of Evergreen High School Aggies Class of 1972. During her attendance she developed friendships and lifelong bonds with her classmates. Carolyn continued to be an active participant in class activities and events. At the time of earthly departure Carolyn was preparing to attend a weekend of festivities with her classmates.
In 1978, she was employed with Knud Nielson Company in Evergreen, AL. Carolyn worked dutifully by preparing and arranging various floral products that were shipped and sold nationwide. She would end her employment through retirement in October of 2008. She was a dedicated worker for 30 years.
In 2009, Carolyn was led by her passion to care for others and enrolled at Reid State Technical School. She graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant. At the time of her transition Carolyn was employed with Evergreen Medical Center as a CNA.
She was a missionary who provided gentle care to the sick and elderly. This was one of her passions. She constantly made rounds in the community carrying out tasks for the sick and shut in. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was known for her delicious homemade cakes, and tasty soul food. She also enjoyed selling Avon. In her downtime you could find her reading or completing a cross word search puzzle book. She will truly be missed here on earth by many.
Carolyn was described by many as a sweet, kind, and loving lady with a humble and quiet spirit. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She didn’t only talk about being a Christian she lived her life as one. She enjoyed spreading the word of Jesus to others.
