Ms. Carrie Henry
Carrie Inez Lewis Henry was born on May 25, 1941 in Escambia County, Alabama to the late Roosevelt and Velma Lewis. She departed this life on June 27, 2012 at the Evergreen Medical Center.
She was a member of First Marietta Baptist Church. Later she met and married John L. Henry on February 14, 1965 and united with the Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. To this union ten children was born; three of which preceded her in death: Johnny, Joseph and John Clifford Henry. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alice Lewis and a brother, Glasco Mason.
Carrie Inez leaves to cherish a devoted and loving husband of 47 years, John L. Henry of Evergreen, AL; four sons, Dewayne (Diane) Henry of Evergreen, AL, Robert (Doliska) Henry of Atlanta, GA, Tyrone (Tammie) Henry of Andalusia, AL and David (Sonya) Henry of Enterprise, AL; three daughters, Mary Stroud of Andalusia, AL and Althanette and Josephine Henry, both of Evergreen, AL; a mother-in-law, Mary Sigler of Mobile, AL; three brothers-in-law, Oscar (Bettye) Sigler, Earl (Kathy) Sigler and Edward Charles (Cherone) Sigler, all of Mobile, AL; five sisters-in-law, Annie Pearl Staley of Andalusia, AL, Flora (Milton) McDonald of Houston, TX, Lillie Ray (Clyde) McGrew and Darlene (Clint) Monigan of Mobile, AL and seventeen grandchildren. She also leaves one uncle, Sanford Smith (Dorothy) of Pensacola, FL; special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (one devoted and special, Hazel Floyd of Andalusia, AL). She will be truly missed by her late night calls to and from her niece Wanda Lewis of Omaha, NE.
