Ms. Hattie Mae Floyd
Hattie Mae Culliver Jackson Floyd was born on October 23, 1923 to Sam “Pick” and Maggie Culliver. She joined the church at an early age and continued involvement until health reasons robbed her of this opportunity. She was a loyal usher and was a role model that led to a granddaughter following in the same tradition as an usher, Jessica Magnolia.
She loved people and always wanted to be helpful in making life better for those struggling. Her work history included twenty-five years as a CNA at Evergreen Nursing Home. She was kind to the patients and advocated for their well-being. She wanted to ensure that they were comfortable and their needs were met.
She was united in marriage to Willie D. Jackson and to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death and she later married Herbert S. Floyd. She raised four step-children in this union.
Hattie Mae leaves to celebrate her life four sons: Willie James (Dorothy Ann), Franklin (Geneva), Herbert Jr., Michael (Lydia) and three daughters: Dr. Magnolia Jackson, Juanita Floyd, and Jean Jackson; fourteen grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Mae Middleton and Sarah Jackson; one brother, Reverend Otis (Alice) Culliver; four sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Culliver, Willie Neal Mitchell, Mildred Crosby and Sylvia Jesse; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A special thanks to Geneva Jackson for her endless care of mother during her illness. Your kindness will always be remembered and treasured. A tribute to all her grandchildren, as you was the apple to mother’s heart. She was always available for them, day or night. She loved her children as well and she wanted them to be prepared for life.

The family gratefully acknowledges all deeds and kindness that you have extended to them. May God shower His blessings upon each of you in our prayers.
We cried when you passed away
We still cry today
Although we loved you dearly
We couldn’t make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Until we meet again, forever in God’s hand, forever in our hearts.
We love you,
Your Loving Children
