She was born in Brewton, AL on July 4, 1964 and was the beloved daughter of Prince (deceased) and Phyllis Middleton. She joined the body of Christ at Second Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, Brewton, AL at an early age and was a faithful member for over 20 years of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, Decatur, GA under the shepherd of Pastor Jerry Black. She was a loyal and faithful servant and served as a member of the Nurses Guild, the Sacrifice Choir and as a parent coordinator of the dance team. Jennifer also served as a host family for the Foreign Exchange Student Program.
Jennifer’s passion of caring for others lead her to become an accomplished academician holding a Master of Arts in Health Care Administration, November 2015 and a Masters of Heath Care Studies, June 2014. Her hobbies included but were not limited to cooking, entertaining and singing.
Jennifer’s desire to live closer to our mother led her to make the move to Pensacola, FL in early 2018. Jennifer suffered a sudden medical crisis in early June of 2018 and was placed in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, FL. After much love and care she succumbed to her illness on March 6, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her father, Prince Middleton; sister(s) Glenda and Linda Middleton and a brother, Walter Lee Middleton.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Phyllis Middleton of Brewton, AL. She was the mother of one daughter, Na’Arah “Shay” Middleton of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her brothers, James (Jo Alice) Middleton of Grady, AL, Carl Middleton of Poughkeepsie, New York and Jerry Middleton of Brewton, AL; her sisters, Kathy Walker of Pensacola, FL and Diane (Bryan) Sallier of Murfreesboro, TN; her nephews, Vincent Brown, Carlos Middleton and Jeffery Walker; her nieces, Jamalice Middleton and Joley (Leon) Abrahams and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
She will be remembered as a loving woman, generous of heart and spirit and fiercely loyal and protective of her family. Her love, her “fire” and her dynamic personality will be terribly missed.
We, the family of Jennifer Middleton, extend our heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of sympathy, love and kindness shown to us during this time of bereavement. Each of you were placed in our lives for a reason and for that we thank God. It is our prayer that God will continue to bless and keep each of you.
