Ms. Joyce Ann Stallworth
Joyce Ann Stallworth was born on March 5, 1942 to the late Hiram Q. and Minnie L. Kyser of Evergreen, AL. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Milledgeville A.M.E. Zion Church. Later she joined New Western Baptist Church from there until the time of her death she was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church where she was the mother of the church. There she was the mother of the church, a member of the praise team, a devotional leader, and a great Sunday school teacher up until her declining heath.
Joyce graduated from Conecuh County Training School with the class of 1961. She dedicated 32 years of service to the Conecuh County Board of Education. She was a Cafeteria Manager, but “Mom” to so many of the children who came through her line.
On December 21, 1962 she entered Holy Matrimony with Johnny Hubbert Stallworth. To this union six loving children were born.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hiram Q. and Minnie L. Kyser; husband, Johnny Hubbert Stallworth; a second mother, Bobbie Jean Kyser and two brothers, Theodore Kyser and Thomas Booker.
On November 13, 2013 the Queen of our hearts left us to go to be with her King.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories six children, Reverend Stanley (Janice) Stallworth of Evergreen, AL, John (Beverly) Stallworth of River Falls, AL, Jeffrey (Daisey) Stallworth, Barbara (Roosevelt) Reed, an extra special care giver and devoted son, Alfred Stallworth and Joyce Michelle (Charles) Scott, all of Evergreen, AL; six grandchildren, Cecil Stallworth of Brewton, AL, Dashonda Stallworth of Evergreen, AL, Spencer Stallworth of River Falls, AL, Cameron Stallworth of Belleville, AL, Tristan Keyon Reed of Evergreen, AL and Justice Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Ardella (Reverend Douglas) Snowden of Pensacola, FL, Lillie Pearl Anderson and Annie Rose Powell, both of Toledo, OH; five brothers, Nathaniel (Kay) Kyser, Solomon Kyser, Daris (Nancy) Kyser, all of Michigan, Reverend Samuel Q. (Carolyn) Kyser of Ft. Leaven Worth, KS and Eddie Jacobs of Alamo, GA; six special friends, Sisters Lillie Mae Cobb, Ernestine Hamrac, Celestine Gross, Eva Byrd, all of Evergreen, AL, Annie Ruth Mitchell of Chicago, IL and Geraldine Mixon of Miami, FL and many nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces and a host of cousins and special friends.
The family of Joyce Ann Stallworth would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the love and many acts of kindness shown to us during our bereavement period. May God abundantly bless each of you.
