Ms. Laquitta T. Caldwell
Laquitta Caldwell was born on September 22, 1985 to Cleophus and Brenda Thomas in Conecuh County.
Laquitta Caldwell attended Hillcrest High School graduating in 2003. She was employed with Park Place Nursing Home in Pensacola, Florida. Laquitta was a hard worker who loved elderly people. She loved her job! She always wanted to be around the elderly, loving of them and making sure they had a good day. Laquitta also had a love for kids. Everybody’s kids were her kids. When she entered the room they all brightened up. Laquitta loved everybody; she never met a stranger. She was also a good motivator. Ever body knew her as “Peaches”.
Laquitta departed this life November 16, 2019 in Pensacola, Florida.
Stepping into eternity she leaves to cherish two special people, her father and mother, Cleophus and Brenda Thomas; one brother, Cleveland Thomas Jr.; two sisters, Linda Latonya Gill and Lesia (Thomas) Jones, all of Evergreen, AL. Laquitta also leaves her memory with eight nieces, Takeyia, She’Tericka, Dashoria, Aliah, Tarekia, Mahyiah, Damilia and Kamijah; two nephews, Jaushau and Jataveous; two great nephews, Atreus and Naster and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. She also leaves to mourn a devoted friend, Nicholas Williams.
The Thomas Family would like to thank each of you for your kindness shown during this time of grief. Although our loss has been so hard, it’s family and friends like you that have helped to ease our pain. Thanks for the cards, phone calls, flowers, visits and prayers. And to her coworkers at Park Place Nursing Home, we appreciate every act of kindness rendered to us. Also, thanks to her Class of 2003.
